As we approach the day that we remember the crucifixion of our beloved Jesus, I wonder what thoughts are filling your minds?
Is it just another day? Or has the current situation with COVID 19 and the fear that is attached to it, taken you on a "head" journey of negative thinking?
Hebrews 12:1-2 says:
“As for us, we have all of these great witnesses who encircle us like clouds. We must let go of every wound that has pierced us and the sin we so easily fall into. Then we will be able to run life’s marathon race with passion and determination, for the path has been already marked out before us." "We look away from the natural realm and we fasten our gaze onto Jesus who birthed faith within us and who leads us forward into faith’s perfection. His example is this: Because His heart was focused on the joy of knowing that you would be His, He endured the agony of the cross and conquered its humiliation, and now sits exalted at the right hand of the throne of God!" (TPT)
This scripture is such a great encouragement for us right now. I would exhort you to read and meditate on it.
I will be going deeper with this on Sunday. This blog is aimed at challenging your thinking around the crucifixion ...... is it traditional, or is it revelational?
Remember, this is the greatest love story ever! So approach this time with your heart, not your head!
Blessings and love to you all from Annette and myself. We will meet again via the screen on Sunday.
