Greetings Frontliners, our study this week is going to center around “ Did God REALLY say that?” In 1 Timothy 1:18 the Apostle Paul, is instructing Timothy, his spiritual son, in this manner;
“This command I entrust to you, Timothy, my son, in accordance with the prophecies previously made concerning you, that by them you might fight the good fight, 19 keeping faith and a good conscience which some have rejected and suffered shipwreck in regard to their faith.”
So what was the fight that was coming his way? The suggestion by some translators, is, there was a challenge there to the gospel that Paul was preaching/teaching and he was making sure that Timothy knew how to handle this with a good attitude and frame of mind.
- Prophecies are for our:
- Confirmation of what we are feeling that the Lord has said to us.
God speaks to us a loving father speaks to his son, His whole desire is for us to rise up, knowing who you are and what you are, and most importantly, where you are!
Connecting these dots will keep us on track not just in direction, but more importantly, in our character development while under pressure.
These “down time” days are perfect for us to realign ourselves with the words spoken over our lives and to sit quietly in the Lord’s Presence, to love on Him and to hear His amazing voice as He responds to your love and adoration.
A great way to look at these times, is see it ( and use it) as a springboard into a deeper place of 1. Maturity and 2. A deeper realm of intimacy with Him.
May I, once again, admonish you to read and re-read, your prophetic words. Lay them out before the Lord and pray them back to Him. Make declarations and move into a deeper place of believing for all that He has said WILL come to pass, remembering that some of it will be for the more distant future and some of it will be for you to move into NOW!!
Have enjoyment with your promises! Have some good laughs with Jesus, if your into dancing, dance before the Lord with the Holy Spirit.
Be blessed!! Warren and Annette
